Garrad Mathews - Porfolio / Blog

I’m really busy as of late.  With what could a 20 year old student with a part time job be busy with, you ask?  School, mainly.  Sure, I’m only taking three classes but hey, one is writing-intensive biology… a course that is difficult for non-science students WITHOUT the writing portion.  Boo to that.  Aside from school, I’ve been trying to get a website up and running for a woman who I’ve worked with before.  She wants an ecommerce web-store for her business, Instant Images.  I’ve been running around in circles trying to get information from her previous web-developer (who is being rather hostile to me) and her web host.  This site should have been done three weeks ago but I’m just getting thrown around, flopping like a fish out of water because people aren’t giving me what I need.  Darn the luck.

I’ve put most of my stuff into the “My Work” section.  I’m still adding more, but don’t have much of a portfolio at the moment.  I plan to constantly build onto what I have, gaining talent as I progress.  Most of the galleries are up and my resume is uploaded and up-to-date.  Any suggestions of other things I could add to the website?  Email me!

I’m not one to celebrate the yearly calendar change, but to those of you who are, happy new year to you.  I spent the last day of 2005 couped up in my bedroom working on this very website.  What fun, huh?  Once midnight hit, I wasn’t out having a good time… I didn’t get a kiss… I wasn’t drunk… no, instead, I was sitting on my couch trying to comfort my dog (he’s deathly afraid of fireworks).  Poor guy.  At least HE was up with me, though.  So here I am writing this at 8:30 on Sunday, at work, on the first day of 2006 - lame, huh?  Ah well.  What would one expect of me, anyway?  Ha!
